About the Author
From an early age, Kaitlyn never passed up the opportunity to capture an audience with her animated storytelling. Many times, her storytelling came in the form of talking over her little sister on the way home from school. She enjoyed making people laugh and smile from an early age.
After receiving her Bachelors of Arts in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University, Kaitlyn headed south to Houston, Texas to work in the oil and gas industries. Seven years later, her first child was born and her life perspective changed. Like many parents, Kaitlyn was inspired by her daughter’s outlook and the lessons she was learning from someone so tiny and new to the world.
Reader Reviews
We love, love, love this sweet book! As the mom of a kiddo on the autism spectrum with her own very unique style, we absolutely love the message of this book. It's a fun and easy read that reminds kids of all ages to be themselves and LOVE themselves just as they are. The illustrations are beautiful and my kids loved trying to match up all the different pajamas as they read long. You wear those mismatched pajamas, girl! Always be you!

“This became an instant classic and the perfect addition to my daughter’s sweet book collection. This is a book full of personality with whimsical illustrations, educational opportunities, and the most important lesson we can teach our children: to always be themselves. Such a fun read that I never get tired of repeating before bed!”

A fun, light-hearted story about a girl, Elle Rose, who prefers to wear pajamas that don’t match. Kaitlyn French’s debut picture book captures the playful innocence of a young girl. It’s an enjoyable book to read and a precious feeling to share in the joy Elle experiences playing in her pajamas with whatever tops or bottoms she may choose. It’s a creative display and discovery of self-confidence and the importance of individuality. The illustrations are charming by Rebecca Sinclair.

“I just love that girl’s take, with her mismatched style! My boys enjoy the rhymes and imagery, and I enjoy the reminder to be a little more free… maybe a little more like the girl I was before I was “Mommy.” Now I can’t see my little ones running around mismatched without cracking a smile! What a gift! Thank you!”
